Websites- Cloud: Breadcrumbs Element

Breadcrumbs are a useful navigation aid that helps visitors understand their location within a website’s structure. The Breadcrumbs Element in Cloud Sites allows easy integration of this feature into posts or static pages, enhancing both usability and SEO.

Inserting the Breadcrumbs Element

To add breadcrumbs:

  1. Open the Add Elements Drawer from the top-left corner.
  2. Scroll to the Blog section.
  3. Locate the Breadcrumbs element.
  4. Click, hold, and drag the element into the desired location—typically at the top of a post or page.

When used with blog posts, the breadcrumbs will reflect the category hierarchy as defined in the CMS.

Customizing Breadcrumbs Appearance

Once placed, select the element to access its settings via the Options Toolbar on the left. Available customization options include:

  • Spacing: Adjust the space between breadcrumb links.
  • Typography: Set font style, size, and weight.
  • Colors: Configure colors for three states:
    • Normal State
    • Hover State (e.g., orange)
    • Active State (e.g., red)

Changes are reflected immediately, allowing real-time preview of hover and active effects.

Alignment and Styling

Breadcrumbs can be aligned:

  • Left
  • Center
  • Right

Additional styling options include:

  • Background and Border Styling
  • Shadow Effects
  • Padding and Margins
  • Entrance Animations
  • Scroll Effects
  • Duplicate and Delete Options

These settings ensure the breadcrumbs element integrates seamlessly with the overall page design.
