The Assets Element in Cloud Sites allows dynamic display of custom content created within the CMS. Functionally similar to the Posts Element, it provides a flexible way to showcase structured data such as reviews, team profiles, portfolios, or any other custom asset type.
Adding the Assets Element
To insert the Assets element:
- Open the Add Elements Drawer
from the left sidebar.
- Scroll to the CMS section.
Locate the Assets element.
- Click, hold, and drag the element into the desired block on the page.
Once placed, the element will automatically populate with available assets based on the CMS configuration.
Layout and Display Settings
The Assets element includes layout controls similar to the Posts element:
- Columns: Set the number of columns for display.
- Rows: Define how many rows of assets appear.
- Spacing: Adjust the space between items.
These settings allow full control over how the assets are visually arranged on the page.
Filtering and Navigation
Under the Filter settings:
- Source: Choose which asset type or category to display.
- Offset: Skip a number of items from the beginning.
- Include/Exclude: Select specific assets or categories.
- Order Direction: Sort assets in ascending or descending order.
For pages with a large number of assets, pagination can be enabled to improve navigation and user experience.
Customizing Asset Appearance
The appearance of each asset can be fully customized using Cloud Sites builder tools:
- Add elements such as text, images, buttons, or icons.
- Bind dynamic fields (e.g., name, date, description) to content areas.
- Style each component to match the overall design of the site.
Changes made to one asset layout will apply dynamically across all displayed items, ensuring consistency.
Styling and Effects
Additional customization is available under Settings:
- Padding and Margins
- Background and Border Styling
- Shadow Effects
- Entrance Animations
- Scroll Effects
These styling tools help integrate the assets seamlessly into the page design.
