Websites- Cloud: Posts Element

Cloud Sites makes it easy to showcase blog content on any page—whether it's a dedicated post page or a static page—using the Posts Element. This feature allows dynamic display of published blog entries, complete with featured images, metadata, and customizable layout options.

Adding the Posts Element

To insert blog posts:

  1. Create a layout structure using columns if needed for better control.
  2. Open the Add Elements Drawer from the left sidebar.
  3. Scroll to the Blog section.
  4. Locate the Posts element and drag it into the desired block.

The element will automatically populate with the number of posts available. For example, if only two posts exist, those will be displayed with their featured images.

Customizing the Layout

Once the Posts element is placed, select it to access layout settings:

  • Columns: Choose how many columns to display.
  • Rows: Set the number of rows.
  • Spacing: Adjust the space between posts.

These settings allow full control over how the blog content is presented on the page.

Editing Post Content Display

Each post includes dynamic elements such as:

  • Featured Image
  • Title
  • Excerpt
  • Read More Link

Images can be replaced, and changes will apply across all posts due to the dynamic nature of the element. Additional content can be added using other elements:

  • Insert a Text Element and bind it to the Publish Date using the server icon.
  • Position the date or other metadata as needed.
  • Link the Read More button to the post’s URL for full article access.

Filtering and Sorting Posts

Under the Filter settings:

  • Source: Choose which posts to include.
  • Include/Exclude: Select specific posts or categories.
  • Offset: Skip a number of posts from the beginning.
  • Order Direction: Sort posts in ascending or descending order.

These options provide flexibility in curating which posts appear and how they are arranged.

Styling and Effects

Additional customization is available under Settings:

  • Padding and Margins
  • Background and Border Styling
  • Shadow Effects
  • Entrance Animations
  • Scroll Effects

These styling tools help integrate the posts seamlessly into the overall page design.
