Websites- Cloud: Media Library

The media library is a central location for all your files within the website builder. You can store, organize, and manage various types of media files, including images, videos, audio files, and documents for your Amplify Cloud website.

To access your media library, click the menu icon at the top left of the builder and select "Media Library" in the sidebar panel.

Media Library Overview

The media library will display all your files added to the website builder. To add files directly to the media library, click the "Add" option to select your file(s) or simply drag and drop your files onto the screen. Files can be uploaded in batches of up to 10 files, and the maximum file size is 5 MB.

  • Search and filter your media - to find specific media, use the dropdown at the top left to filter by type (images, audio, video and documents/files). You can also use the open search field at the top left of the media library.
  • View media file properties - select a media file and the details will display in the left hand panel. You can edit the file name and alt title, as well as find the URL link for your file.
  • Managing your media files - other options for managing your files included bulk selection, preview and delete.

Stock Photos

The Stock Photos tab in your media library gives you free access to Unsplash, a third party stock photo site. Use the search field to look for applicable photos, and once you have located the file(s) you want to use, simply select them in the list and click the "Import to Library" button. This will add the selected file(s) to your media library.

Using Media within an Element

When adding or updating an image within an element, you will first need to delete the existing image. Then click to add a new image, and you will be directed to the media library, where you can select an existing image or upload a new one.

When setting up a link, you can select the Link option in the toolbar and choose "Files" to select a file from your media library.
